Our Story

Helping Every Child Thrive Through Personalized Learning and Christian Values

Wellspring Tutorial Services was founded by Maria Kristina Cheng , a business professional, a passionate educator; and a loving mom, who saw a need for personalized learning support in her community. She had years of experience teaching students of various ages and backgrounds, and she noticed that many struggled to keep up with their schoolwork due to lack of individualized attention.

With a vision to provide a nurturing environment where students could thrive academically, she started Wellspring in her home with a handful of students. Her approach was centered on understanding each student’s unique learning style, strengths, and weaknesses. As word-of-mouth spread about the effectiveness of her teaching methods, more students began to enroll.

Today, Wellspring continues to inspire and empower students to reach new heights! The center is known for its integration of Christian values in all of its programs, and its supportive atmosphere, where students feel encouraged to develop character and skills.

The Meaning of Wellspring Logo

The squares represent the different learning areas of an individual: physical, mental, socio-emotional, and spiritual represented by the cross at the middle. The squares are shown in different colors to display that every child is different from one another. Squares also symbolize order, trust, stability, being grounded and honesty.

The logo bears our institution name, “Wellspring”, which means a bountiful source of something. The Bible says that the heart is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23) Thus,we aim not only to develop every child’s academic prowess; but to unfold the goodness in his heart.
